Agadir lies around 250 kilometres from Marrakech, about three hours by motorway. We run the journey in both directions, either as a straight private transfer — to your hotel, Al Massira airport or a cruise terminal — or as a full-day trip with the driver at your disposal once there.
The road crosses the Souss plain and its vast citrus orchards, then runs alongside the argan forest. You can stop at an argan oil cooperative and, on the way, in the village of Taghazout, a former fishing port turned into one of the country's great surf spots.
The town itself is built around its bay: ten kilometres of sand and a seafront promenade. You climb to the Agadir Oufella kasbah for the view over the port and the whole bay — the only structure left standing from the city that preceded the 1960 earthquake. Souk El Had, one of Morocco's largest markets with its thousands of stalls, is worth an hour or two.
On a day trip you are back in Marrakech in the late afternoon. Let us know which option you want when booking.
